ADT Security is the largest provider of electronic security systems and services and has been since 1874.  Providing security protection to
business, government, and residential customers, ADT operates through authorized dealers and installers.

Home security alarm services from ADT are extremely diverse.  They place a lot of focus on their business and government clients – which makes sense but may reduce their focus on home / residential users. 

ADT Security Alarm Service & Equipment

The security alarm equipment from ADT is of excellent quality and their features are top notch.  The tradeoff for some of this is that they also have a comparatively higher cost in both equipment package requirements and monthly monitoring costs. 

The startup costs for their essentials plus package with warranty plan was $444 – slightly higher than wireless 'do it yourself' models but all ADT alarms are hardwired and professionally installed. 

Standard contract agreements are 36-months.  About the same as their industry competitors.

Home Security Features

While costs for ADT security alarm systems are high, their features are good.  Standard keypad, internal alarm sirens, and motion detectors along with door and window sensors and panic alarms for intruder and fire are included.  All systems are hardwired and include options for both burglar/theft/panic alarms as well as optional fire detection.

Security monitoring is $32.99 – a bit higher than some of their competitors but ADT is renowned for being the best in class as far as reliability and quality.
